Oh precious free time...I'll miss you. With the advent of summer upon us, I'll probably do as I usually do and either be incredibly busy or barreling down the highway/at the lakeshore for ice cream. Last month I had that horrible cold that's goin round and it practically had me incapacitated for the entire month. Just had enough life in me to have Protoman over for the last weekend of May so we could promote TFcon at Anime North. Call me crazy or getting old but doing shows for an entire weekend that aren't completely Transformers related is just getting tougher and tougher to do every year...BAH WELL!

Put my Firebird back on the road this week...cleaned her up nicely yesterday complete with rim polish, leather polish, full body wash down, and complete window cleaning. And no...there was no booty denim shorts, white tank top, or Def Leppard playing so minds outta the gutter. I'll probably be driving her around a lot the next few days to make up for lost time. Also got another summer job for some extra income so I can piss most of it away on plastic transformable action figures...and school...I guess they want me to pay for that. Not to mention all the addition costs...parking, books, uniforms...yaaaay

Which reminds me (thinking about pissing away money)...Botcon is only 2 weeks away, and damn am I looking forward to seeing all the Transformers peoples I've met over the years again. Yes, there will be drinking. Yes, there will be tomfoolery. Yes, there will be skylarkings. Otherwise...it wouldn't be Botcon. My only concern right now is finding a liquor store near by. Doubt there's one on Disney's property so I will have to rely on semi-local Jeremy (AKA Gogdog) to help the tourists out. Shout out on this journal entry if you'll be at the show and come drink with the Cybertron.ca and TFW2005 crew!

After that it's about 5.5 weeks till TFcon....and that thought reminds me that I should probably get more work done on that :P Still plenty of things to get done, including a panel that the Protoman and I will be doing together which expands on a classic favourite episode we did of Canadian Slag...needless to say the fangirls will love it and for what's coming together to be TFcon's year of the fangirl, I doubt Daniel and I will leave them disappointed ;)

Customswise I got a bunch of ideas for the rest of the year...if quick things pop up that I can get done in an evening I'll take a break from my bigger projects to do those. Currently I'm working on that Hot Rod idea from way back but it's proving to be more difficult then previously expected. It'll get done one way or another. Also Daniel brought me that KO 77 Camero BB that transforms like the 07 Camero so I plan to get on him some time...maybe if I get bored or frustrated working on Hot Rod...we'll see. Another idea I had was recently completed by someone else so I'm in no rush to start him now but I'd still like to put this character in my collection, maybe I'll go in a different direction with him than this person did...the possibilities are endless!

Alright folks, you asked for it, you gots it. Check out our page www.tfcon.ca/contact-us.php and fire us an e-mail if you want us to send ya a pre-registration form for TFcon 2010. Even if you aren't attending you can order our Night-bird exclusive figure and have it shipped to your door step. There's no limit on how many you can order. If you wanna have a great time and actually attend the convention your pre-reg admission grants you early access to the dealer room, access to all panels, games, and events (including our Friday night pre-con party which should not be missed), as well as guest autographs, free comic book and entrance into the hourly door prizes.

Also if you wanna be EXTRA daring we're having our customizing class again on the Sunday hosted none other then customizer extraordinaire :iconcustomsbydak: (I may also be assisting for a good portion ;)). Character and figure to be used will be revealed at the convention, but there are only 20 spots so sign up fast if you want in. All your paints and tools will be included with your customs class fee so all you gotta bring is pants and an urge to learn how to customize the way the pro does it.

As for custom news, I got another piece almost finished, just need to apply the decals and do a photo gallery but I haven't been 100% the last few days so when I'll get on that is more dependent on whether or not I feel like moving :P

So our Canadian Collectible Toy Expo was this weekend...and damn...I'm really a monkey with a handgun when it comes to these toy shows...why do I manage them!? :P Either way got some golden hauls, enough sleep was unfortunately not one of them, but regardless some sweet deals on some awesome figures were had. Gots me a Human Alliance Barricade, Warbot Defender, Botcon 2010 Sweep, Telemocha Blackarachnia, SD Matrix Dropping Ultra Magnus statue (www.statueforum.com/statuearch… how I've waited so long for this adorable piece, which is now my "hang in there kitty" poster), and finally another figure and some stickers to be customized for a special someone. ;)

As for some TFcon news, our first guest this year will be none other then voice actor Mark Ryan, known for voicing Bumblebee and Jetfire in the 2007 Transformers Movie, Transformers: Beginnings, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and Transformers movie video games. As well as being a voice actor Mark was the on set vocal talent on both films, delivering lines for the Transformers during shooting. He will be reprising that role for Transformers 3 which will be scheduled to be finished shooting before TFcon 2010. I can't wait to see what he has to say about that and his now 3 year involvement in the franchise...I'm sure there will be people out there all "didn't Bumblebee only have 1 line?" (though another was cut from RotF...) but seriously he's done soooo much more then that one line. Really looking forward to talking with him again, he was such great guy at Botcon.

Stay tuned folks, more to come :D

Well...looks like I have something to share again sooner then later...though I don't remember starting on that ROTF Ratchet (thank you inebriation) but I do remember finishing it up...odd. Anyways, I really like the mold and the character and felt this was good representation of a character, with just a poor colour scheme. Some simple touch ups later and he was done.

After finishing Metalhawk I took a bit of a break from the custom scene, but I'm back on the horse, working on Hot Rod right now...still got another repaint to do for a friend (surprised she hasn't reminded me how long I've been taking on it...) but I need the right paint for it. The colour she wants I can only find in acrylics and does don't work well on Transformers as they easily scratch. The hunt continues! :P

Botcon coming up sooner then I expected too...locking forward to hangin with my Botcon crews..as for this year's set...mmmmrrrrmmmm....I dunno...Generation 2 is what got me into Transformers when I was all but 6 years old but this set just ain't doing it for me. I'm probably gonna flip my set instantly unless there's 2 characters made....you know who you are. Swear if they are in this year's set I'll be reluctant to let them go... :(

Otherwise TFcon 2010 planning is coming along well. Gonna start announcing guests and ...perhaps... an exclusive :) Gonna be our ninth year so you know we're upping our game to prepare for the big decade anniversary of our show. Transformers 2010 was a huge deal in Japan, it was their season 3 of G1 and to commemorate that, I want TFcon 2010 to be as huge! Look forward to it folks. It's gonna be a good one ;)
