DotM Sideswipe Vehicle Mode

A custom that pretty much came into creation due to boredom, the horrible plastic originally used on this mold, and the urge to test out Tamiya Silver on something. Being the rabid GM fan that I am and avid Corvette lover I wanted to eventually get around to making this guy look good.

Used the Tamiya silver on all the exterior car parts, the thighs, little portion over the feet, blades, half the forearms, and the head. All the other silvery parts on him are thanks to Testors Aluminum (contrasts better in person as you can see a shine on the Tamiya paint, and none with the Testors). Small detailing goes to Testors Gold and Bronze.

Tamiya Silver worked quite well for my first run with it but you really need to multicoat it to get a nice even finish. Still not totally happy with the mold since the transformation is all off (the tail lights are what's supposed to wind up on his chest...), a step down from the much more accurate Sidearms Sideswipe, equally shooty knees though, but overall with the better paint apps he's actually an enjoyable display piece now. Only took a couple of nights to do too...at most 10 hours total.
